TripAdvisor are aiming to use technology to provide a more personalised and connected experience for their users and are now looking to include brands, social media influencers, media and friends, so that travellers could then follow those individuals or content creators that relate to their own interests.

Artificial Intelligence...
It appears that chatbots are likely to have a considerable impact on the future of the tourism industry. They are being used to enhance the quality of the guest experience through a chat service, by giving instant responses to basic questions and simple requests. 

Marriott International are using the new technology on Facebook Messenger and a new extension allows their Slack members to instantly search for and book Marriott hotel rooms directly from the Slack app; Aloft Hotels, part of the Marriott chain, have already launched their “ChatBotlr” Mobile Service. more...
